Prof. Dr. Vedat Erentug
I was born in 1966 in Elazig. After completing my primary, secondary and high school education in Elazig, I started the Political Science and Public Administration department at the Middle East Technical University in 1983. After completing the language preparatory program, I transferred to Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1984 and graduated in 1991. I completed my compulsory service in Dortyol, Hatay. Between 1993 and 1998, I completed my specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery at Kosuyolu Heart and Vascular Surgery Hospital. I continued working there until 2008. I became Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2011. I established Cardiovascular Surgery clinics in Bagcilar, Erzurum and Erzincan. After serving as a training supervisor between 2017 and 2022, I retired in 2022.
I currently work in my private clinic in Sisli, Istanbul. My areas of interest include Functional Medicine, Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering, and Traditional and Complementary Medicine practices such as mesotherapy, acupuncture, hirudotherapy, prolotherapy, ozone therapy and cupping. I am pursuing a PhD in Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering at Istanbul Istinye University. I also completed a master degree in Medical Law at Istanbul Medeniyet University.
